The goal of Casuarina Square Medical & Dental is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach toward diagnosis and management of illness.

We do not discriminate in the provision of excellent care and aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect.

Casuarina Square Medical and Dental, formerly known as Night and Day Medical and Dental Surgery, was established in the early 1980s by a band of local GPs who realised there was a need for after–hours care in the northern suburbs of Darwin.

Each of the practice’s founding GPs had their own clinics but they believed that by offering after–hours care it would ease the workload on their own practices as well as the Darwin hospital emergency department.

From those humble aspirations the GPs decided to take turns in rostering themselves to cover one night a week at the after–hours clinic.

However, the demand was so great that by 1985 the practice had grown to accommodate many other GPs and dentists to work at the practice, not just in the evenings but the whole day.

Eventually the practice principals were able to step aside to allow other professionals to utilise the practice. For many years and to date, we have been the only practice in Darwin open every day of the year.

Casuarina Square Medical & Dental is also proud to be an Accredited Training Practice for medical students and registrars wishing to specialise in general practice.

As an AGPAL Accredited General Practice, our clinic is dedicated to upholding international best practice standards and criteria developed by this independent accreditation organisation.

We are conveniently located at Casuarina Shopping Square, just under the cinema complex.
