Dr Colm Galvin

Dentists Hobart welcomes Dr Colm Galvin in Breakfast Point, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

After graduation in 2006 Dr. Galvin decided to move to Scotland to broaden both his personal and professional experience. Stints in Edinburgh and Glasgow proved invaluable in gaining experience in all aspects of general dentistry while treating a sizeable and varied patient base. Since moving here in 2011, Colm worked in various parts of Australia before deciding to settle in Sydney, where he fell in love with the lifestyle, climate, beaches and culture. Known for a friendly demeanour which allows patients to feel comfortable during treatment, Colm loves communicating with patients and allowing them to understand treatment options and helping decide on what they feel is affordable and best for them. His belief is that, "prevention is better than cure" and prides himself in helping patients understand dental disease and eliminating its occurrence. He is great at treating children and nervous patients and creates a comfortable environment for all. Since graduation, Colm has remained focused on continuing his education through regular courses and literature. He is one of the few Six Month Smiles® providers in NSW, which utilises clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth. When not creating beautiful smiles, he enjoys playing football, tennis, golf and has a keen interest in history and international politics.
