Dr Katie Edwards

Dentists Hobart welcomes Dr Katie Edwards in Gympie, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

Katie graduated from the University of Leeds in the UK. She completed post-graduate training at Bradford Hospital in the UK, where she worked under the guidance of leading consultants in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics (braces). In 2011 she became a member of the dental faculty of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before moving to Queensland in 2012. Katie enjoys helping patients maintain their teeth and their smiles through preventive dentistry and high quality restorations. Her philosophy is of conservative dentistry and she is a big advocate of trying to prevent dental disease before treatment is required. The practice has a strong family focus and Katie is passionate about treating children. Katie offers a full range of dental services. When Katie is not at Calton Hill Dental she is a keen soccer player, having previously played in the ladies English premier league for Sunderland AFC. In her spare time she likes to keep active by playing soccer and tennis and exploring the Sunshine Coast. Katie ensures she spends time getting to know her patients and understands their dental problems and needs. Her friendly and gentle approach makes even the most nervous patients feel more relaxed.
