Dentists Hobart welcomes Dr Parul Bhatia in Butler, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

Dr Parul Bhatia (Principal Dentist) BDS (Bristol UK), MFDS RCS (Eng), Dip.Con. Sed Parul will be opening Butler Dental around October 2014 with the aim of bringing a caring and friendly dental practice to the community in the Northern suburbs. She qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol, UK in 2003. She began her dental career in a busy UK practice from where she went on to join the Birmingham NHS Hospital services for 4 years as a senior dental officer working closely with some of the best specialists in the UK in different fields of dentistry including oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontology, paediatric dentistry, oral & maxillofacial surgery (Adult and paediatric) and oral medicine. During this time she obtained her Membership to the faculty of Dental Surgeons of England in 2007. She was also actively involved in national and local presentations, teaching dental students and has a number of professional publications. She then went on to work in the Community Dental Services as well as the local surgical hospitals where she worked mainly with anxious children and adult patients, special needs and medically compromised patients and prison dentistry. During this time she completed her Diploma in dental sedation and the management of pain and anxiety from the University of Newcastle, UK in 2009. She moved to Australia in 2010 with her husband. Since being in Australia she has worked for the Government dental clinics treating patients with special needs and a number of private practices. She firmly believes in continued professional development and has attended a number of courses in Australia including sedation dentistry, restorative and implant surgery. She not only wants to bring her valuable experience to the community of the Northern suburbs but provide good quality, conservative and ethical dental care in a caring and nurturing environment. As a dentist Parul enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in sedation dentistry, paediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Parul holds professional membership with The Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA) and continues to attend courses and training days to improve her skills and keep up to date with the latest techniques in dentistry.
